Final chapter! Annoyed with myself for not finishing it by Halloween, but oh well. Thanks to all who read -- let me know what you think.
Title: Spirit Animals Pairing: Stan/Kyle Rating: R Words: ~22k Summary: Cartman wants to film his amateur ghost hunting show at the site of the grisly McCormick massacre. Stan hates the idea but he can't stay away, because Kyle will be there.
But before I get to that: I keep forgetting to mention that I had a dream on Saturday night that Trey Parker was presenting at the Oscars while incredibly high. He pretended to be Nicholas Cage and had to be physically ejected when he refused to stop doing that.
The title suggests it's a Breaking Bad parody, and I really want one of those.
The setup takes into account my theory that Kyle is the least sophisticated of all of his friends when it comes to interest in adult-like pursuits, and at this point even his little brother is outpacing him at growing up.
This is a stretch, but the title also makes me think of Taming of the Shrew and Kyle somehow blocking Ike's access to mature pursuits because his older brother is so far behind and stubbornly trying to hold on to things rather than allowing changes to happen naturally, which is Kyle's usual nonsense.
The preview images they've released are pretty awesome, although I'd rather have Kyle go to Stan for counsel than to Mackey on the toilet, but oh well.
A day later than promised, but this chapter is longer!
Title: Spirit Animals Pairing: Stan/Kyle Rating: R Words: ~25k; ~10k in this chapter Summary: Cartman wants to film his amateur ghost hunting show at the site of the grisly McCormick massacre. Stan hates the idea but he can't stay away, because Kyle will be there.
Gonna post this in 3 installments - the last one will be up on Halloween night!
Title: Spirit Animals Pairing: Stan/Kyle Rating: R Words: ~20k; ~5,500 in this chapter Summary: Cartman wants to film his amateur ghost hunting show at the site of the grisly McCormick massacre. Stan hates the idea but he can't stay away, because Kyle will be there.
I've been pretty stuck lately with writing, and I think my solution is finally just to scrap the 3 things I've been attempting to work on and admit that they're not interesting or developed enough, premise-wise, for me to continue. I just need to start fresh with something, maybe the sequel to mpreg fic that me and Sekrit talked about at Disney World, and in order to do that I have to let these 3 go, I think. So here are the scraps for those who are interested! I'll include a little summary of what would have happened.
Here it is, fisting Atlanta brunch fic! Thank you to Sekrit for inadvertantly giving me the idea (and also for the original 'write Kyle the way the people who cry over his disrespected obvious virile masculinity hate' request) and for listening to my thoughts and rants on fandom and everything else, going to brunch places with me in Atlanta, and for having been one of the major reasons I was inspired to stick around and write substantive (well, hopefully) fic for this fandom.
Title: Be Prepared to be Harshly Teased by the Wait Staff Pairing: Stan/Kyle Word Count: ~5k Summary: During a weekend visit to Stan's Atlanta apartment, Kyle surprises Stan with a particular sexual request. Things do not go as planned, making for an awkward brunch the following morning. Note: There is no actual fisting in the fisting fic.
South Park episodes I want to see this season, other than the obvious, which is Stan and Kyle having lots of moments together that I can assign gay subtext to:
1. Jimbo and Ned come out/get married/do something gay. Any Ned at all would be cool. 2. Cartman and Henrietta, something to do with the childhood obesity epidemic. Still holding out hope, but it's doubtful, since they already singled out Cartman and had him on the scooter etc. 3. All 4 boys working together on something. 4. If there's a Butters-focused episode, I don't want him isolated from the other boys like in the Hawaii thing. He's not that funny when he's not interacting with/reacting to them. 5. A Craig and the gang episode, mostly just to see the fandom go nuts, and also because I do wonder about Craig/want additional Craig details to use in fic. 6. I'm on the fence about a girls episode. I have the same craving for Wendy and Bebe material (don't really care about the rest of 'em), but I don't really care to hear any more Deep Thoughts on Women from Trey Parker in my lifetime. 7. Very little celebrity parodying content. I was super happy that there was virtually none last season. 8. Christmas/Hanukkah episode, obviously. They've done Thanksgiving and Halloween in the past two seasons! It's time!! Though I guess at only 10 episodes this run, the show will be over before the holidays. Ugh. Maybe they'll do a Holiday Special as an 11th episode because they feel guilty about deciding 'hey, less work? yeah, let's do less work!' Probably not. 9. A fucking Kyle-centric episode for once! There was nothing last season! Even in the one where Cartman was pretending to his boyfriend, he felt minor and underused. I guess Jewpacabra was pretty Kyle-centric, but that was also pretty Cartman-focused/Kyle simply reacting to Cartman doing shit. 10. Cartman manages to trick Stan into thinking he's time traveled and witnessing his future life together with Kyle as a gay man. Stan is conflicted. My dream episode. Actually, no, in my dream episode the time travel would be real and Stan would walk in on his adult self fucking Kyle's adult self, but whatever.
